LeBron 31 points, 14-24 shooting, 2-4 3 pointers, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, 1 block Durant 26 points, 9-17 shooting, 2-3 3 pointers, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 0 blocks December 21, 2008 OKLAHOMA CITY — “LeBron is just LeBron. He has been marvelous this whole trip. He has been marvelous the whole year,” Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. “He’s leading this team the right way, more importantly than scoring. “I don’t even know what he scored tonight. I thought his composure and his leadership was key throughout the entire game, especially in the second half.” Unlike the teams’ first meeting of the season, the second half actually mattered this time. Cleveland had a franchise-record 34-point halftime lead in the November game and ended up with a 35-point rout, but this time couldn’t take a double-digit lead until the end of the third quarter. James delivered that with a drive to the bucket for a three-point play and an 82-72 edge. He added a dunk during a 12-3 run that extended Cleveland’s lead to 18 points and put the game away. “Although we didn’t execute very well tonight offensively, we made enough shots to win and we got enough stops to win,” Brown said. “I applaud my guys for finding a way tonight.”

  4. Leroy700000 says:

    @rcinglad we’ll see

  5. WitnessLeBronJames1 says:

I doubt it LeBron is still the best player in the league.

  6. rcinglad says:

@Leroy700000 Yeah, no player will take the MVP from Durant you know that.

  7. Cheema0113 says:

@rcinglad Durant hasn`t even won the MVP, how can sum1 take it from him? Lebron is the reigning MVP, and he will most likely be the MVP next year again.

  8. duexdos says:

@Cheema0113 lebron is the best player in the league, but now he has cut his stats a little bit to make it work in miami though, so i think durant might get it this year b’cuz he has high scores constantly.

  9. Vienceslav says:

If Cavaliers go down dramaticaly next season it will just prove how LeBron was valuable for them.
So it´ĺl put him ahead in the MVP race.
Also how lucky are the kids in the very end of the video.

  10. FuzWuz says:

Kevin Durant and Kobe are probably the favorites for MVP. LeBron isn’t as valuable to his team anymore because he has D. Wade and CB1. LeBron will only get another MVP if he gets Oscar Robertson like statistics and if D. Wade and Chris Bosh gets injured. Kobe probably wants to win MVP now to solidify himself.

If Lebron averages a triple double in Miami, which he likely will with less points, he’ll definitely win the MVP!!!

If you pause at 9:32 you will see it says 4 steals, I think Bruce mest up ahah

  13. narutobuu says:

    Lebron>Wade>Kobe>Melo>CP3>Durant

until durant plays some defense and averages more assists than he does turn overs hes nothing more than a scorer on a young team…..to win MVP you have to have a complete game no just Scoring…

  14. LeBronAkronJames says:

@cahax23 No, I didn’t “mest” up. The numbers I reported are from the official box score. The broadcast “mest” up.

  15. LeBronAkronJames says:

@FuzWuz Glad to see you can see the future when they haven’t even played one game together.

  16. cahax23 says:

@LeBronAkronJames Lol, My bad bruce, you know im a fan of your work ;)

  17. Cheema0113 says:

@duexdos yeah but remember the MVP voting in the NBA is not only based on stats, they also take into account how well ur team did and how much one meant to his team. I imagine the heat winning around 70 games, if dat happens i`m pretty sure Lebron will get his M3P.

  18. LeBronAkronJames says:

    @cahax23 All good.

  19. BrunoLS09 says:

Great, Bruce. In this vid you show how he cares more about passing the ball to always make the right play then scoring.

He makes Cleveland team play SO MUCH better. He doesn’t just scores. He makes everybody in the team play!

That’s what created the illusion that Cavs’ team was good, and made them have 2 consecutive “best-record seasons”.

And still people say Kobe, the ball hog, is better then this guy…

  20. brokenmonkey000 says:

Hey, I heard that there is a podcast theres a podcast that bruce does. Anyone have a link?

  21. FreshKiNg27 says:

@FuzWuz Kobe’s chances at MVP aren’t high either I’m sorry to say. He too has a good team and the only reason he won it 2 years ago was because his team wasn’t as good
